Hive Skull Notes & Tips
- Basic Enemies respawn whenever a player or a team rests at a checkpoint.
- To identify if an elite enemy spawns in the area, players can hear a chime which indicates it to be in pursuit or if it is around.
- In Co-op Play, depending on the number of players in a team, enemy scaling increases by the number, as well as its health, and damage.
For anyone struggling to fight these guys, here's a few pointers:
1. Use a long range, high damage weapon, like the Sniper Rifle, Hunting Rifle, Hunting Pistol, and Magnum Revolver. Do not use high DPS weapons like the Assault Rifle, Submachine Gun, and Spitfire. The reason for this is the more you hit this guy, the more he spawns his wasp swarms. Also try to aim for his body, since he has no definitive weak spot, because hitting him in the head will spawn the swarms.
2. Keep your distance from him, because the sweep he does is tough to dodge, due to how delayed it is, and how long the range of it is. Keep away from walls that he happens to be behind as well, because this attack does hit you through walls.
3. If you are using melee on him, then try to get behind him before he does his melee attack. This will make it easier to dodge this attack.
4. Make sure you have armor with high Radiation resistance because the Hive Swarms do Radiation Damage.
It is honestly quite sad to hear them scream in pain and agony due to radioactive hornets building hives into their skulls since the mutation. Especially when fighting them, it really makes you feel bad for them. But in the end, killing them is an act of mercy. Since we are doing them a favor after all.
