Type Damage
Effect Throw a fan of 7 knives that deal 20 damage each and apply the BLEEDING effect dealing 200 damage over 20 seconds. Max 2 Charges.

Fan of Knives is a Weapon Mod in Remnant: From the Ashes. Weapon Mods are components that grant active abilities which can be used in and out of combat. These Mods provide a variety of effects including dealing damage, healing, buffing players and more. Most Mods can be freely slotted in and out of standard Weapons, while the unique Boss Weapons have their own Mods that cannot be removed. Weapon Mod abilities require Mod Power to use, which is generated by attacking enemies.

Remnant Fan of Knives Mod Information

Fan of Knives is a Damage-focused mod that hurls 7 knives in front of the caster, with each one dealing 20 damage and instantly applying 3 stacks of the Bleeding effect, dealing a further 200 damage over 20 seconds. The mod stores up to 2 Charges.

Fan of Knives is great at quickly applying the Bleeding effect, and can do so on multiple enemies. The knives' formation is just a little more spread apart than the primary fire of the Devastator, which can make it difficult to hit multiple opponents at once. It does decently against single targets at short to medium ranges, however.

Fan of Knives Mod Properties

  • The damage dealt by each knife, as well as the damage dealt by the Bleeding effect are affected by the level of the Weapon that the mod is slotted in. Each weapon level adds +2 damage to each knife and +20 damage to the Bleeding effect. At Weapon Level 20, knives deal 60 damage on hit and the Bleeding effect deals a total of 600 damage over 20 seconds.
  • Knife damage and Bleeding damage can further be increased by Mod Damage bonuses, such as those provided by the Evocation trait and other similar effects.
  • Fan of Knives works very well with the Bloodletter's Insignia which adds a lifesteal component to Bleeding effects, and the Razorwire Necklace which further boosts Bleeding damage.

You can kill him easily by stunning him as he jumps over the holes in the floor. I hit him with the fusion rifle beam as he was jumping and he fell in the hole and died

For longer throws pay attention to the color of the line reticle projected while you aim. If it turns red it means you're on target!

For a supportive bleed setup you can combine Bloodletter's Insignia and Burden of the Devoted.

Whenever you get health from your bleed attacks you heal yourself and your teammates too! This also works if you hit them with the knives by accident (but try not t do that if possible).

Low Cost+High bleed, and not to mention you can get 3 stacks by being a little close and getting 3 knife hits.
Makes for a better (albeit shorter range and not much stun) devastator bleed simply because you can hit up to 7 times and they can all be different enemies if you get lucky.
