Evocation is a Trait in Remnant: From the Ashes. Traits are special passive abilities tied to character progression. They provide a large variety of effects including increasing core stats, improving offensive and defensive capabilities or providing quality of life upgrades. Traits are the key to building a character in a player's preferred playstyle, allowing them to branch off from their chosen Archetype. Traits are obtained by performing certain feats, defeating certain enemies or completing objectives and quests. Each Trait can be ranked up to Level 20, further improving their effects.

Remnant Evocation Trait Effect Information

The Evocation Trait increases Weapon Mod Damage by +0.75% per Trait Point invested, up to a maximum of +15% Weapon Mod Damage at Level 20.

Evocation is to Weapon Mods what Mind's Eye is to Ranged Damage. It provides a base damage increase to all mods that deal damage and is one of the best Mod-related Traits you can get. Evocation also stacks with the Summon-specific damage boost of the Invoker Trait, making them even more powerful. It will not affect mods that do not deal damage on their own, however, such as the Rattle Weed or Hunter's Mark, so take your loadout into consideration when leveling this trait.

How to Obtain Evocation in Remnant: From the Ashes

The Evocation Trait can be unlocked as follows:

• Acquired by completing the Circlet Hatchery event dungeon while destroying all the hanging hives in the dungeon, and without getting hit by the Wisps they spawn.
• Normal completion of this event will award only the Soul Ember ring. To acquire Evocation, you must not be hit by the Wisps spawned by the hives. Consider defeating all enemies first before taking out the hives in an area.
• Wisps are destroyed in a single hit, but can overwhelm you when too many spawn at once. The Veil of the Black Tear mod can help prevent taking damage from them.
• Requires the Swamps of Corsus DLC to unlock.

• All Traits can be ranked up by spending Trait Points on them. Trait Points are acquired primarily by obtaining Experience Points and leveling up. Every 1,500 Experience Points obtained grants 1 Trait Point.
• Trait Points can also be acquired by finding and picking up Tomes of Knowledge which randomly spawn in the major locations of each world.
• Traits can be reset by using an Orb of Undoing, acquired at the end of main Campaign. After completing the Campaign, these orbs can then be purchased from Reggie in Ward 13 for 2,500 Scrap apiece.
