Surrounds the caster with a magical shield absorbing 50% of their Max Health in damage from incoming attacks and prevents getting staggered. Lasts 15 seconds. 10 seconds cooldown.

Flicker Cloak is a Weapon Mod in Remnant: From the Ashes. Weapon Mods are components that grant active abilities which can be used in and out of combat. These Mods provide a variety of effects including dealing damage, healing, buffing players and more. Most Mods can be freely slotted in and out of standard Weapons, while the unique Boss Weapons have their own Mods that cannot be removed. Weapon Mod abilities require Mod Power to use, which is generated by attacking enemies. 

 

Remnant Flicker Cloak Mod Information

Flicker Cloak is a Utility type mod that creates a damage shield with an integrity equivalent to 50% of the caster's Max Health at the base level. While the shield is active, the caster is immune to all hit-based stagger, allowing them to go completely on the offensive. Flicker Cloak is a very effective mod for solo tanky builds, especially when combined with other damage mitigation effects. The stagger protection is also invaluable when reviving teammates in multiplayer.

Flicker Cloak Mod Properties

  • Flicker Cloak's shield integrity is affected by the level of the Weapon that the mod is equipped in, increasing shield integrity by +2.5% of the caster's Max Health per weapon level, granting a maximum equivalent to 100% of the caster's Max Health at Weapon Level 20, and essentially doubling your effective health while the shield is active.
  • Flicker Cloak's duration is affected by Mod Duration effects, such as those granted by the Concentration Trait and the Cultist's Armor Set's bonus.
  • Flicker Cloak has a 10 second cooldown after usage which cannot be lowered. While the mod is on cooldown, attacks will not generate Mod Power, so it's best to switch to your other weapon during this time. Additionally, when touching a Checkpoint Crystal while Flicker Cloak is on cooldown, it will reset the cooldown, but will not fill its Mod Power meter. A second interaction with the crystal is required to recharge the mod.

      It’s basically useless anywhere but apocalypse as being able to tank afew hits when running or resurrecting a friend is very valuable

        I used to run this and Swarm constantly, but now they nerfed it to the point of being basically worthless, and I don't know what other mod to use in its place now that it basically only absorbs one single hit.

          Omg I just started using this mod and now its nerfed to hell. It's useless it used to last 60 seconds and absorb a whole health bar.

            Nerfed significantly in the Swamps of Corsus update. Now only lasts 10 seconds, costs more mod power to cast, and provides a significantly weaker shield. It's now more of an "oh*****" button than a more constant defensive option, a way to guarantee that you can pop a heal without getting popped.

              Very powerful defensive mod. Activating it makes you practically invincible. It gives you an appearance similar to the rare dual-scythe enemies that sort of Agent Smith all of your attacks until you hit them enough times. Also blocks Bleeding and Burning damage, gives you infinite stagger resist too. The downside is that Leto's Lab is quite a rare dungeon to generate within a campaign/adventure, so it can take a lot of rerolls to get to the dungeon containing Riphide, which is who you need to kill to make this mod.

              • Item description needs to be corrected. On a +20 weapon the shield tops off at 150% Health on console(PS4) unless the PC is ahead in patches at the moment.

                  I just got this by defeating a boss called Riphide. He was tough as hell, but I'm guessing this cloak will make it more than worth it. It currently provides a shield that absorbs 97.5% of my health in damage. I'm not sure which stat affects the percentage.

                    Is this ability actually available? It apparently drops from an enemy I've never even seen and is considered a dungeon boss/mini boss.
