Bosses in Remnant: From the Ashes are special enemies that players will encounter in the game. Unlike normal Enemies, bosses have greater health, deal more damage and possess unique moves and abilities. They can also appear with a special ability, further increasing their health, damage or providing additional mechanics. Alongside common resources, when defeated, bosses often drop specific items used for crafting Weapons and Weapon Mods and some will also unlock Traits

Boss Variations

There are two types of bosses that you can encounter as you travel to different realms:

  • Dungeon Boss - Superior, stronger versions of elite enemies, possessing greater health, damage and unique moves and mechanics. To identify if you are about to enter an arena for a dungeon boss, you'll find the entrance engulfed in fog and there will be a checkpoint nearby. Upon entering the arena, the battle will begin.

  • World Boss - World bosses are the main bosses of the game. They are typically found at the end of an area, and are mandatory for progression through the game.

Dynamic Generation

Dynamic Generation - As explained in our FAQs page, whenever a player enters a realm, the game dynamically generates a unique layout for pretty much everything; area layout, loot distribution,  NPC locations, enemies, and bosses. As mentioned, each boss may possess a special ability, and in conjunction with the dynamic generation mechanic, new players will often encounter a different boss in the same location, and even those previously fought can offer additional challenges.

Does this wiki list the "boss modifiers" you can get? I remember seeing "vicious" and "regenerator" a couple times. Seems like something that would be here.

Does survival have a smaller list of normal bosses? I mean I'm about 100 games in (not yet, but close) and I haven't seen a couple of them at all.

One big mistake I made was trying to stick to enclosed areas to keep from getting swarmed by the mushroom heads. But, I found that this only locked in me and gave me no place to run.

So, definitely stick to open areas.

They Really Should Update This Game One More Time...

They Don't Need To Put New Worlds In It, There Is Still Some Storys Left They Could Tell. Characters That Got Left Behind, Or Even Weapon/Mods That Are Waiting To Be Unleashed.

            As An Example:
They Could Give The Npc,s In Bunker 13 Some Variations, some Unique Dialog Or SOMETHING!

McCabe is Hostile Even After We Killed The Root Dragon Or Ent. Ace Feels Like There Is Something Missing In Here Story, Like This Guy She Searched. Commander Ford Dosen't Care If We Kill The Dreamer Or Found Her Grandfather (Like Wtf Not Even a Little Dialog? Nothing?)

            Just To Name Some Examples

But What About Yeasha? It Fells Like They Could Involve Us More In The Story Behind The Mysterious Fruit That Makes Immortal Or The Pan Resistance.

I Don't Ask For Much Here If You Think About It.

I Just Want Some Little More Detail Some Little More Love What Should Be Given Into This Game...

For Dungeon Bosses, it can be very useful to specify the attributes/aspects (not sure of the exact name of this property) they can have and what they do exactly, like Regenerator or Skullcrusher. Granted, some of them are very self-explanatory but others are not.

The list I see so far (I am not sure of their exact names or effects) :
              - Regenerator : self-explanatory. The boss heal slowly over time
              - Skullcrusher : each attack from the boss staggers you
              - Hearty (?) : the boss have more health/defense (?)
              - Vicious : the boss deals more damage with its attack
              - Enchanted : no idea of what this does exactly

And I didn't see others attributes/aspects for now. Correct me if I am missing something or if I am wrong in anything above.

So let me get this straight. Every campaign there are always two dungeon bosses per world (except Corsus, where there will always be the Unclean One and Ixillis as world bosses and one dungeon boss)? And one has to be fought while the other is out of the way and leads to a one-way gate? That sum the dungeon bosses up? (plus you can get bonus bosses like Ancient Construct, Blink Thief, and Root Horror in addition to dungeon bosses)

So for dungeon bosses, Shroud is a Slayer, Gorefist is a Hulk, Brabus is a cutthroat (common ones are "Henchmen"), Riphide is a Splitter, the Mangler is a Tumbler, Raze is (whatever the smaller versions of him are called), Scourge is a Hive Skull, Maul is a Hound, Shade and Shatter are Anointed, Dream Eater is a Flickering Horror, Barbed Terror is like a Barbstalker, the Warden is a Pan Spearman, Onslaught is a Pan Blink Fiend, Scald is a Pan Archer, Sear is a Zephyr.

What are Stormcaller, the Thrall, and Canker exactly? I haven't been able to pick out which enemies they're bigger versions of yet.

It would be excellent if these bosses could be arranged roughly akin to their order of appearance, with the Earth bosses first, and then the Rhom bosses, then Corsus, the Yaesha.

Alright, so there is a boss missing from this list. I have only ever seen it one time. It was in an Earth Dungeon (one of the ones in the subway area where the root hang from the ceiling). This boss looks almost like a regular root enemy, but every time you get it's health down by (a quarter/third) it will replicate itself by double. I cannot remember what its name was, and I couldnt beat it at the time (this was when the game first came out, and I had it on PS4 at the time). Does anyone know the boss I'm talking about? I cant find it anywhere.

Iskal Queen (Elf Queen) is not a world boss but an event/dungeon boss. Corsus world bosses are Unclean and Ixillis.

Brain Bug from Swamps of Corsus DLC needs to be added to this page. There may also be one other boss from that DLC that isn't currently listed. Riphide still needs to be added.

What’s really sad is that the only thing I see relating to the wiki is the constant question “Where’s Riphide?” The other 95% is just people complaining and crying about ads and bosses. And the occasional positive comment.

My friend is trash at all videogames but always available to play. I've died trying to help him up constantly. Been at a loss using my dragon hearts on him because he did something silly. Today we vs'd Raze for the first time. We got beat the first time and I had to go do some stuff quickly but remained in game. When I got back my friend had solo'd raze despite him being set at 2 player difficulty. The learning curve is there for those who want to learn it. I haven't been overwhelmed with adds at all and I listen for the cues. Having a lot of fun with this game and this wiki is just really toxic. I'm still chilling in my scrapper armour with my shotgun tbh and we just beat undying king.
