Hero's Ring is a Ring and an accessory in Swamps Of Corsus - Remnant From The Ashes. Hero's Ring is/isn't a Craftable Item. Rings provide additional protection or other bonuses to your character, add buffs to the player's Stats, and resistance to Status Ailments. Different accessories have different defense values and are, therefore, more or less effective.

Only a remnant of us left now. We gotta save who we can when we can.

Where to find Hero's Ring

  •  From the Fetid Pools event.
  • Obtaining the Hero's Ring: You will need 3x Acid Cleaned Key to open the doors and get the Hero's Ring. One to access the stairs, another to access the upstairs room, and a final key to open the chamber that holds the Hero's Ring located in the Fetid Pools dungeon on Corsus.
  • You will have to wear the Rusted Amulet which can be found in the dungeon and crouch in one of the acid pools. The Rusted Amulet will be gone and you will acquire the Acid Cleaned key.

  • There is 2 methods to open the doors:
  • Pick up the Hero's Ring from the chamber and you will also obtain the Fortification Trait.

Hero's Ring Notes

  • Revive speed stacks with the Revivalist trait.
  • Players can equip up to two Rings.
  • To manage and equip rings, open the Character Menu and cycle to the accessories slot below the Armor slots.

WryHarpy - "There is a method of bypassing the doors using the blink token mod. Standing with your back to the door while charging blink token, your destination marker for teleporting should snap to your feet. Once this happens spam the interact button and the door should just disappear if you have done it correctly. This can be done with every door and can be an easy 3 simulacrum and 25 glowing fragments on subsequent adventure runs if the area generates."

If you're using the solo save scum method below. To make things quicker (literally), equip the rusted amulet, deceivers band, and the heart of the wolf, and be sure to have adrenaline ready. Takes me 30s to reach the acid pool, dissolve the rust, and get killed in order to respawn at the doors.

            To get this easier
            Get a amulet
Reset adventure find the area again, turn amulet into key.
            Pick up new amulet
            Join a randoms game
            Get amulet
            Profit

Important note I did not know until i actually got the thing, once everyone has keys anyone can spend them, so quick spend it on the ring before someone else does haha

Convincing randoms to put on the amulet, get the key, and then spend their key on the right door feels impossible. Anyone want to help me get this on PC?

                • Possible to get this by using a trainer editor cheat, you just edit the number value item in your inventory, such as the Rusted Amulet to 99 pieces instead of 1 and then crouch on the acid and voila, you will have aloooooooooot of keys and with that you can completely loot the place AND still having the Rusted Amulet as bonus.
PS: I don't support cheating in online and either I have interest in it. To me as a solo player the ring and the trait are useless to me anyways.

I have gotten this solo on PS4 and I assume you can do something similar on PC, though it requires save scumming. I don't normally condone save scumming, but I also am opposed to game designers locking away content like this to multiplayer when 95% of the game can be done solo (and for those that say "the reward is only multiplayer anyway", I like to join and help randoms and avoid voice chat, which this ring/trait would help with, but getting it via a random pick-up group is nearly impossible).

                    Anyway....

You just have to take advantage of the fact that game saves character data (which includes whether or not you have the amulet) separately from world data (which includes quest items like the keys, as well as which doors have already been unlocked in the dunegon). Simply get the amulet and then quit and back up your Characters (PS4) or Profile (PC) save. Then convert the amulet to a key and open one door. Save and exit and restore your backed-up Characters/Profile save, which will get you the amulet back, but leave the World save alone so it will remember you already opened one door.

At this point you will have an opened door in the dungeon yet have the amulet available to make another key with!

Repeat as necessary to open all the doors. You can get all the items in this dungeon in one roll of it using this method. Just don't grab any loot behind the doors until you are done restoring your backed-up characters file or you'll delete the fact that you got that loot!

Apparently you can get this solo. There's an unnecessarily drawn out explanation on the acid cleaned key page comment section.

You cannot get this solo. You can do a trick to get more than one key by getting the rusted amulet, re-rolling the adventure mode until you get Fetid pools again, then turn the first into the key before picking up the new rusted amulet (otherwise it turns to scrap) However, you need THREE keys to get this: one to access the stairs, another to access the upstairs room, and a final key to actually open the chamber that holds the ring So you will need another person to help, as all keys (as quest items) are lost when you reroll the world, making it impossible to have more than two on one player.
