Black Cat Band is a Ring and an accessory in Remnant: From the Ashes. Black Cat Band is/isn't a Craftable Item. Rings provide additional protection or other bonuses to your character, add buffs to the player's Stats, and resistance to Status Ailments. Different accessories have different defense values and are, therefore, more or less effective.
Legends tell of a smith who infused his work with the spirits of beloved companions past. This one is engraved with the name 'Noah'.
Where to find Black Cat Band
- Survival Mode: Defeat every normal (non- world) boss twice.
- Can also be purchased from Whispers.
- Subject 2923 DLC is required to use this item.
- This item is Account Bound, this means that it can be used across on all your characters (this includes new characters and already created ones in both normal and hardcore difficulty).
Black Cat Band Notes
- Upon reaching 1 Health this ring will also provide you 1.5 seconds of invulnerability.
- Players can equip up to two Rings.
- To manage and equip rings, open the Character Menu and cycle to the accessories slot below the Armor slots.
AnonymousIf you have the latest update, the Bright Steel Ring, Black Cat Band and White Rose can now be purchased from Whispers in Ward 13. It seems that the developers do it in order to bypass the bugs for people who couldn't obtain it.

Survival Mode: 25 Total Boss Kills (Can be done in multiple runs); at least one of them as a guest in multiplayer with a friend from friends list (not a random player)
I haven't confirmed this 100% yet, but I've done everything I've read to get the ring except "play survival with a friend and get 1 boss kill" and still don't have the ring.

How does this ring work? I have died from falling while I was wearing it and it did not revive me. The stupid blue scythe boss killed me and the ring did not work there either, i was mid roling when he hit and killed me. The undying mod seems more reliable.

use a complete new profile, join others and defeated 25 bosses, got prosperity, didn't get this. I suspect it may have something to do with being knocked out during boss fight, while your teammate finished the boss. No need for 10 kills straight, as my old file got black cat(and white rose the same time) before i got 10 kills achievement.

I got this after about 10 kills in another person's lobby, you will not see the item unlock if you already have the item in the survival until your out of survival mode, if you don't have the item in the run you will get the account bound unlock pop up and the item for that run.

nope, i got the bright steel ring but not this or the white rose. guess again?
Apologies I am re-posting this so I will not cause confusion.
This is what I did until now,
1) Old character reach 56 kills 2 times, nothing
2) New character reach 56 kills 2 times, nothing
3) Erase my save folder(I back it up) to start from the beginning because even if you delete ALL your characters in the game, you will still receive the previous rewards from Hardcore and Survival before the Subject 2923. Reach 56 kills and nothing.
I received the Adventures googles(after 5 kills reward), Talisman of Perseverance (after 50 kills) and the
the only new item I received is the Ring of Flawless Beauty were you purchase 100 items in Survival Mode.
Also with my old character I found EVERYTHING else the new dlc has to offer BUT solo\single-player items.

I did co-op with my friend killing every miniboss and world boss twice totaling 56 kills non-stop. Did not get Black Cat Band and Bright Steel Ring. This game is bull****. Wasted my time and money.

I'm not sure how I got the ring entirely but I was playing Survival by myself on Normal difficulty going through my first dungeon on Reisum and it popped up saying I unlocked it. Sorry I can't be of more help, but this was by mistake that I can across it.

Bug: New survival mode items not being granted to older characters (workaround; create a new character for survival mode).
I tried 2 times to play the survival mode and reach twice 56 kills non-stop (28 bosses are in general world and mini), I didn't received neither Bright Steel Ring nor Black Cat Band and neither White Rose.
According to some people is that these 3 items you can find them ONLY in Survival mode WITH another player joining with you or in general in coop-play. If that is true then I must say I will be really disappointed. Before the Subject 2923 DLC there was some rings and traits that they were truly meant for coop-play such as Fortification, Hero's Ring, Band Of Accord, Teamwork,Will To Live, Cold As Ice, Revivalist and Suspicion.
Now with the new DLC and explanation of the abilities of the White Rose, Bright Steel Ring and Black Cat Band is obvious that they can be used in single-player campaign and YET I cannot received them unless I play coop............Seriously ?????
I suppose is still early to comment but I strongly hope that I am wrong...

can this be done in multiple runs? also i did get the black rose amulet after a couple days after swamps dlc that was insane by itself... THIS wow its a joke not only you need to kill about 25 minibosses (counting bosses from subject 2923) and not only that you need to do it TWICE... kinda ridiculous, too much grind for an amulet that is worthless
caue the Ruin exists.
The real question is : this can be done in multiple runs or you have to do it in one go ?
I have acquired Bright Steel Ring, Black Cat Band and White Rose. The "Ring Location" comments are incorrect.
I have defeated 1 or 2 bosses (max/total) in Survival Mode. I certainly have not defeated them all in Survival Mode, not even close.
95% of my game play is in Adventure and Campaign Mode.
Most of my Survival gameplay is in Teams. We rarely make it past the first boss.
Black Cat Band (Survival Mode - Defeat every normal boss twice) - I have done this in both Campaign (Normal, Hard, Nightmare) and Adventure mode (mostly Nightmare).
Bright Steel Ring (Survival Mode - Defeat every world boss twice) - I have done this in both Campaign (Normal, Hard, Nightmare) and Adventure mode (mostly Nightmare).
White Rose (Survival Mode - Defeat all bosses 2 times) - I have done this in both Campaign (Normal, Hard, Nightmare) and Adventure mode (mostly Nightmare).
