The Clean Room is a Random Event in Remnant: From the Ashes. Random events act like side quests where players need to complete some requests in order to obtain a reward. The events may or may not appear on your play through, requiring a restart for a chance of getting them.

The Clean Room Description

  • When you enter the dungeon, you will cross a big area that scans you. After being scanned you will be cursed with the "Citadel's Curse" and you will lose some HP every second. Each time you kill an enemy a part of the HP will be restored. Your objective is to reach the decontamination zone on the end of the dungeon.
  • Once you pass the decontamination room the curse will be removed and in the next room you will find the Wastelander Flail.

If you die from the curse right before the animation for being cleansed of it completes you will have it for that entire next life but it will go away after death. I was super worried I'd have to play the rest of the game with lol

Tip: if a summon kills an enemy, you still get the HP back, so i recommend going there with the Dog summon or the Floating skulls.

This was a really fun dungeon. I like how it significantly altered the gameply compared to most other runs. I play solo, and usually take the slow, ponderous approach, checking every corner thrice and then trying to plan the most affective way to deal with enemies before agrroing them.

In this dungeon, you have an aggressive version of a time limit, but you also can restore hp by killing enemies. It encourages frenetic, nigh-suicidal strategies that would never work in a normal dungeon.

God this entire thing is just a "run quickly to end to get (underwhelming) reward", if it wasn't as hard as losing health to the point you have to waste bloodworts and in turn, waste scrap, maybe it would be more fun

It may be a bug, but after being revived by the special ability of Ruin, the Citadel's Curse was removed from me, making this dungeon just like every other. Both the DoT effect and the healing effect were removed.

armor rating reduces curse damage. +20 radiant set with lvl 20 bark skin made the DoT negligible with bloodwort.
