Abandoned Throne is a Random Event in Swamps Of Corsus - Remnant From The Ashes. Random events act like side quests where players need to complete some requests in order to obtain a reward. The events may or may not appear on your play through, requiring a restart for a chance of getting them.
Abandoned Throne Location
- Location: Corsus -Abandoned Throne.
- Adventure Mode only. Where the Queen usually sits during Campaign Mode.
Abandoned Throne Description
- You will have to kill the beetles around the Abandoned Throne to spawn the Mudling Queen Beetle.
- When the Mudling Queen Beetle spawns, you should see a quest pop up, keep shooting it until it dies.
Abandoned Throne Rewards
- Opalescent Shell which can be traded to Mar'Gosh's for Luminescent Trait.

Spawned one after approx 100 kills. She run away unfortunatelly, so I tried to kill more on same run. I killed approx 350 and she did not spawn, so looks like she can spawn only once per map.

So I just would like to state that this is fairly easy with Beam Rifle after I realized there was super tiny beetles as well that you could barely see that needed to be killed. So be aware of that, then you just gotta kill them as they spawn around the area fairly quick like previously mentioned and she spawns and instantly starts running.

Took me about 12 mins of killing random small and big beetles. I didn't need to kill each one within a time limit. Mine just spawned totally randomly after I killed 1 one its own after a rest. She skuttles around fast so you need to be real quick to kill her; burrowed away after 10-12 seconds.

I am 99% certain it only spawns once per playthrough. Got it to spawn and didn't realize it wasn't a boss fight so I wasted time using abilities and never killed it. I then shot every beetle with my smg and assault rifle 1 bullet at a time until I ran out of ammo. Never respawned. Feels bad. Don't miss.

Just keep popping them, it shows up eventually. Make sure you stay topped off tho, the queen can get away if your not fast enough.

It can take a while so don't give up Storm collar helps if you can't find the mini beetles that tend to blend in. But sometimes it can take a lot of beetle kills before the blue one spawns

I have killed both large and small beetles around the abandoned throne numerous adventure re-roles. I'll usually kill 20-30, and then move on. I've done this at least 12-15 re-rolls. I STILL haven't seen the Queen Beetle yet.
This take forever to do keep an eye out for the tiny bugs
