Probably it was a bug, but when I weared the mask at subject DLC final boss,
      dragon heart healing not works.

This set could be much better if it gave a 30% health increase and increased regeneration as current health decreases. Healt\regen based build - why not?

Sadly, evenly after the reworking, the armor bonus is still bad.

Let's do some calculation. If you have 10 stacks which requires you to be at full health for 30s, you get 30% damage bonus for melee and mod damage. It seems ok when you first look at it, however if you compare it with others, there's no way you'll use it for its bonus.

If you are playing melee style, you'll choose scrapper over twisted, cause melee is always with 5m(Unless you want to use World's Edge and Heroes Sword charge attack outside 5m range of course), your range and mod damage will also increase within 5m while wearing scrapper. It's ok if you take damage wearing scrapper unlike twisted. They're both medium armor. Twisted health regeneration ties with scrapper's damage reduction(Let's just say it's a tie, we'll talk about it later).Overall you have no reason to choose Twisted for its bonus.

If you're playing a style that focus on mod damage, you'll choose labyrinth. 50% damage bonus compare to 30%, no need to keep at full health and wait for 30s. what else needs to say?

If you're playing a mixed style of melee and mod, choose scrapper since you already decide to use melee. Also It increases all types of damage.

After what's metioned above, the only feature or rather advantage that Twisted has is health regeneration. But 0.33/second?!! Seriously? I know,I know, you already get its old two-set regeneration for just one piece, but honestly even if you give its old 3 piece regeneration(about 0.5/second), nobody cares(I apologize for being a little harsh). Cause bloodwort regenerates 1.7/second. You may say Twisted's regeneration is free and after a LONG time, it will regenerates more than one bloodwort, but isn't that against the idea of reworking twisted's bonus? I remember them saying on twitch they found the old bonus made battle longer which was not what they had intended, so they reworked the whole set. But now the regeneration is even lower and damage bonus will be nothing after getting two hits, and need another 30s after regaining full health. The only circumstance that twisted's regeneration may be considered acceptable is during first few rounds of survival when you have nearly nothing and bloodwort is costly.

So personally, I hope they can change Twisted bonus again, gives it a little upgrade(cause it's really a cool set considering how it looks). Since it's new damage bonus is similar to ring of supremacy, increase it to 50%(supremacy has one of the highest bonus before 2923). So when focusing on mod damage people will still use labyrinth, but when playing mixed style they may consider twisted since it got higher bonus than scapper but requires no damage(also range damge is not increased so it's kind of balance. Simply nerf scrapper will do NOTHING but removing another armor from player's choice).Or increase damage bonus to 40%(or keeping it at 30%), meanwhile increase health regeneration to 1.5/second(the exact number may vary, just close to bloodwort), so it become an armor with not that much damage bonus(also hard to keep) but a good health regenerator(Worry survival becomes too easy? You sure you can get twisted all the time? Drinking bloodwort always save you from battle fight? You do remember time is ticking during survival if you want to wait for your health to regenerate, right?)

2nd worst armor??? I don't know how you can call this worse than the akari... Nevertheless, this armor is useful if you like to get every piece scrap or collectible in each map for that in between fights you'll regen your health back by the time you start your next encounter and don't have to use consumables, weapon mods, or dragon hearts. I always use one piece of this armor unless I'm fighting a boss or in a defend npc/survive assault area and then have my other 2 armor pieces give me damage boosts.

Am I the only person annoyed by the fact the right arm is bare? Seriously, you couldn't add anything there?

As of The adventure update the weight of each armor piece has been increased, and is at heavy weight now. Hood: 11 Cage: 28 Tassets: 16

Can be found after The Gallows boss fight. In the boss fight room after the fight, there is a "forge" attached to the big tree in the middle. You craft this armor at this "forge". Thanks to previous comments for pointing out that this is after the Gallows fight.

The regen is fine as it is. With just the mask and the ring you have 0.9 with max triage. Add the consumble to get a whole 4.9 hp/s. Would be higher if I actually had the entire set (chest and legs)

Craftable after "the gallows" bossfight, there's a 4th set item "twisted mask" can be found by killing a crazy merchant.

personally think this regen should be much higher. .666 regen with maxed triage? that's not worth it for an entire armor set. should be 1 hp/sec with maxed triage. combined with blood font ring you'd have around 1.5 hp/sec. would actually be a competitive regen build when combined with the regen consumable giving ~3hp a sec.

The Mask is dropped by a "mad merchant" in a dungeon called "Junk town" on earth. Upon killing the merchant the mask will be dropped.
