World's Edge is a Melee Weapon and is one of the Weapons in Remnant: From the Ashes Subject 2923 DLC.
The Root are ancient, but they were not there at the beginning. They were fabricated at the fringes, replicating at the edges of the worlds, until the worlds were overrun with the infestation.
Where to find World's Edge
- Can be crafted after defeating Harsgaard, Root Harbinger.
- Crafting Materials required
How to use World's Edge
- Each melee weapon has a primary combo of three strikes in a row before executing another melee attack, these attacks are categorized into three types:
- Normal Attack: These can be executed by continuously pressing the attack button for the primary three-hit combo.
- Charged Attack: This type of attack is executed by holding down and then releasing the attack button for heavier and harder swings.
- Lunge Attack: This can be executed by pressing the attack button while sprinting.

World's Edge Notes
- Charged attacks have Medium range, but cost 40 stamina on use. Energy Wave won't be triggered if you perform a heavy attack with less than 10 stamina, Armor Weight increases Stamina Consumption.
- If the ranged attack hits an enemy, it will be considered a Charge Attack (it can trigger the effect of Butcher's Fetish or the Abrasive Amulet).

It's a cool looking weapon. I suppose it was designed to deal with waves of enemies, but truth is if you try to use it against a group of enemies, the long time charge animation plus a rather short range(longitude, kind of disappointing really, especially when you compare it with hero's sword) could be your doom. If your stamina is low it won't fire the projectile.

Alright so I don't know how to add to the wiki but I just got the sword, ranked it to +5
Description: An ancient sword made from broken world fragments that is quick and versatile suited for almost any situation. It excels at controlling areas with its wide-arcing swings and fast recovery. Excellent against horses of smaller enemies and perfect for dealing damage in a pinch.
In italics and quotes: "The Root are ancient, but they were not there at the beginning. They were fabricated at the fringes, replicating at the edges of the worlds, until the world's were overrun with the infestation."
Mod: Horizon Strike
Effect: Charge attacks release a wide wave projectile that will penetrate through multiple enemies
(In practice it reminds me of the bloodskaal sword from skyrim with the horizontal heavy attacks there but I digress)
At +5 the damage is 90 with a 10% crit chance

4 damage? For real? I forgot to make this weapon after the final boss, if it follows the same upgrade pattern +10 would be 12 damage. That is only 10% the damage of many melee weapons and 66 lower than the one with the 2nd lowest damage.
Did they forgot a 0 or what? Your fists without the rings that buff them do way more damage.

Great for bleed builds. Razorwire Necklace + Bloodletter Insignia + Razorstone synergizes perfectly for bleeding large groups of enemies with the energy wave from the charge attack. Additionally if the charge attack his an enemy with both the blade and the energy wave then it applies 2 stacks of bleeding.

So has anybody who's played this religiously figured out if this weapon actually DOES something, or is just a tease that looks cool but underperformed like crazy?

The "Melee Weapons" list at the bottom of every melee page is missing a link to this sword.
