Ring of the Unclean

Status Effect

Unarmed Melee attacks deal 2x damage. Heavy Flops deal 4x damage.

Ring of the Unclean is a Ring and an accessory in Remnant: From the Ashes. Ring of the Unclean isn't a Craftable Item. Rings provide additional protection or other bonuses to your character, add buffs to the player's Stats, and resistance to Status Ailments. Different accessories have different defense values and are, therefore, more or less effective.

Technology is the crutch of the dying. Nature has given us every strength we need, if we will but hone them

Where to find the Ring of the Unclean

  • Obtainable only in Corsus Adventure Mode.
  • You must talk to the Iskal Queen (Boss) while having the PARASITE status effect from an Iskal Infector and tell her that you want to help the Iskal. She will give you the Iskal Vial. Then, go to the Graveyard Elf and crouch towards her cauldron (so she doesn't wake up). Interact with her cauldron and use the Iskal Vial on it (This will unlock the Potency Trait). Go to a checkpoint and come back. Her Hut is now open. Go inside to find the Ring of the Unclean.
NOTE: In order to get the Iskal Vial, you must have the Graveyard Elf and the Iskal Queen (Boss) in the same Corsus map; Adventure Mode only.

Ring of the Unclean Notes

  • Flop Damage affects the damage dealt by rolling against an enemy with ultra-heavy Armor Encumbrance.
  • Players can equip up to two Rings.
  • To manage and equip rings, open the Character Menu and cycle to the accessories slot below the Armor slots.

It needs to be said. Don't try to move while using the vial on the cauldron. If you do it, it wakes her up. You'll get the potency trait, but she won't drink from the cauldron and thus open the door to her hut, making it so you can't reach the ring. You need to sneak in and out. Which is total BS. Spend hours trying to get that RNG and cus the game forces you to stand after interacting, hours longer for it.

An important note - it is possible to get worlds with the queen and elf but no infector. The infector only spawns in the underground dungeons and extremely rarely in the overworld.

I feel like this ring has way too much RNG linked to its acquisition. Three different layers (Queen, Graveyard Elf and Infectors) having to occur on the same seed is a bit excessive. I'm starting to get annoyed of having to run Corsus adventures over and over again only to be taunted by maps with two of the required elements but not the third.

Holy cow, how the heck do I know when I have both Queen Iskal and Graveyard Elf in the same map? Is it Iskal Sanctum I need? Are there any clues as to when I've found the right map without having to explore the whole dang place first?

August 26 patch notes : Ring of the Unclean now causes unarmed Melee attacks to deal x3 damage and Flops deal x4 damage.
              FLOP got NERFED !!!!

And the flop got nerfed to hell, no more belly flops of 6k dmg with the four finger ring. It was fun, but broken as hell.

The really underrated part of this ring is the flop damage. The flop amp is multiplicative with % melee damage when using Leto's armor. With a fully upgraded Leto's set and with Heart of Darkness and Stone of Balance equipped, the flop can hit a base damage of more than 2800 damage. This damage is further upgraded by Song of Swords and the Elder armor buff. The flop can hit for more than 3500 damage with all buffs applied.

Sounds like a great idea to hide a ring that would buff the most basic attack in the game in Corsus and make it nearly impossible to get since you need two people to be in your map and that hardly ever happens.

I've done everything right to get this ring, followed the instructions to the letter. But when I rest at a checkpoint after poisoning the soup, nothing happens. The door stays locked and the Elf is still just sitting there.
