People dont know what they are talking about but this gun and its mod are crazy.
The gun itself is very strong and it shoots like an smg but it staggers enemies like the repeater pistol.
The mod is crazy if you know how to use it. Maybe playing on normal or solo it wouldnt be as great. But playing co op with a friend who is also rocking this?
On nightmare you can retreat to a chokepoint and have your squad shoot these down. 4 in one place kills so much and even messes up the elite enemies. Normal enemies (and some elite) can be staggered, so just shooting a bullet and keeping them in the tentacles is death.
I would definitely suggest giving this a try. If played tactically this is crazy. However like all things its situational. And giant rooms with no chokepoints, or randoms that rush ahead wont make this worth using. As a coordinated squad however... do it.

Love the primary fire, super accurate, long range, high rate with little recoil and good ammo reserves; the mod however is weak. Tentacles have a prohibitively short attack range and only hit 1 target. I can see putting tentacles around yourself defensively but then you're vulnerable to overload explosions. HIve cannon is a much better AoE weapon and deals damage at range as well.

have the tentecles been nerfed? the have absolutly **** range can barely hit anything even if its staying right next to them. biggest drawback ever. terrible summon. they need like 3 times the range they have now.

This weapon is amazing. It doesn't say it, but it's a full auto handgun and it's rate of fire and recoil recovery pair up so that it's a perfectly accurate laser beam. Also, hit box is pretty forgiving, I don't try hard at this game, so I'm usually a body shot potato. But I definitely noticed that I get way more weakspot shots with this.

I just Demolished Riphide using this. My friend and i were stuck for two days on it the first time. I came back with this god of a gun, shot the mod twice, and watched the chain reaction kill the boss in less than twenty seconds. Vengeance have never been this sweet.
